Published on the occasion of the exhibition ‘Visionary Africa: Art at Work'. Presentations took place in Tripoli (Libya), November 29, 2010, in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), from January 12 to February 2, 2011, and in Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso), from February 10 to March 5, 2011.
The events were organized by the European Commission, with the Centre for Fine Arts (BOZAR), Brussels, and in partnership with the Commission of the African Union.
A reprint as softcover edition was done in 2012. The reprint contains some new and other material.
