Anna is on her way to see friends when she stops at some graffiti of two dogs mating and draws a house for them. So begins this deft collection of short stories and drawings that follow Anna through the moments that make up a life. She is constantly looking, and what she sees delights, even when she sees wrongly or mistakenly. The stories live as much through images as through narrative – images confound. Dreams, memory, and imagination blur the boundary between the visible and the hidden in this wise and beautiful book.
